myBasePay Secures Funding to Enable Distributed Workforces in South Florida And Beyond

The pandemic has fundamentally reshaped where and how we work. South Florida startup myBasePay offers a back-office solution to help manage contingent workforces.

Born from the Shift to Distributed Work

The pandemic fundamentally reshaped where and how we work. As companies across the country embraced remote and hybrid models, the demand for flexible, contingent talent surged. South Florida startup myBasePay emerged to meet that demand, offering a comprehensive back-office solution for managing contingent workforces at scale.

Co-founders Cesar Jimenez and Jahn Karsybaev recognized early that the staffing industry needed more than incremental improvement. Staffing firms were drowning in compliance complexity, payroll administration, and operational overhead that prevented them from focusing on their core mission: connecting talent with opportunity.

"We saw that staffing companies needed a comprehensive platform that could handle payroll, compliance, and funding all in one place. The existing solutions were fragmented and outdated. We built myBasePay to be the modern infrastructure layer that the industry was missing." — Jahn Karsybaev, Co-Founder, myBasePay

$60 Million to Fuel Growth

BMI Financial Group has pledged up to $60 million to fuel myBasePay's expansion. The investment is split strategically: half allocated to payroll funding to ensure staffing firms and their workers are paid on time, every time, and the other half directed toward technology development and AI capabilities that will power the next generation of workforce management tools.

From Kazakhstan to Harvard to South Florida

Jahn Karsybaev's journey to co-founding myBasePay is a story of global ambition. Originally from Kazakhstan, he pursued his education at Harvard before making his way to South Florida's growing tech ecosystem. His international perspective and technical expertise complement Cesar Jimenez's deep roots in the US staffing industry.

Scaling the Team and the Vision

With the new funding in place, myBasePay plans to double its 16-person team to accelerate product development, expand client services, and deepen its presence in key markets. The company is hiring across engineering, compliance, operations, and client success to support its ambitious growth trajectory.
